I don't need no stinkin (new) badges

Just got my badges from JoesJunk... good price, good used product.
Already shined one up and painted it. All I need to do is con my little sister into painting Caddy 425 in the blank area!

longhornmail, here's and idea -- instead of painting the 425, make a full color 425 decal on the computer that will fit the emblem, print it out, then use decoupage clear epoxy to fill in the recessed area.

FYI...just so you know...having been there, done that (though you went there and did it better than I did, lol!)...that Testor's Paint won't look so good in a few years, and it noticeably faded on mine after even one year. Last time I did it (year and a half, nearly 2 years now) I used the touch-up paint for our red 1997 Suburban and it seems to be holding up much better.

Those look like the chrome is better than mine though.

hmmm, that DOES look sharp.
Now how could I get it onto the emblim again?
You talking just print this out on paper, and put clear epoxy over it?
how long would this last?

I would leave those with the 1500 V-Eight underneath and add these under the side marker!

Hey Longhorn, I see you have used Mothers aluminum polish. Does that stuff work well, it sure looks like it does. I need a good aluminum polish for my grill and front bumper.

longhornmail, yea I'm talking size the graphic to fit, print out, glue on, and pour on clear epoxy. How long will it last? I don't really know, but I've seen table tops (you know, the ones that have stuff like coins embedded in them) that have been around for at least 10 years. I've got decoupage photos that I covered with epoxy 20 years ago and other than a little yellowing they still look good.
