Do you know the condition. Leaks, slop in the box anything I should know? Is the steering sector the same thing as a rag joint?

It was removed from a non-running truck, but I have no reason to suspect that it is bad. The sector feels tight and the pump still had oil in it. I have pulled several of these off parked trucks and they work fine. The rag joint is actually a coupling between the column and the gearbox. This gearbox (sector) still has the rag joint on it.

Meathead : That's the same 4X4 I had when you came down - still haven't got the lift kit on it!! I figured it was time to change my avitar since I sold the other truck over a year ago!!!

Green Machine : It came off a 69 or 70 model 2wd with 350 V8.

JQ-72: Do you still have the power steering set up? Can you tell me what crank pulley was used with this set up? I also would like to know what groove was used on the crank pulley.

Are you meaning the pitman arm?(it is the part the connects the steering box to the tie rods)If so they well interchange from 68-84 and are avaliable at Napa dealers. they quoteed me 120 bucks for it here.I swaped a power steering box from a 84 1/2 ton into my 72 1-ton (bolt on swap)but the newer trucks have a long water pump so the pump is different.I swaped the long water pump and moved the alternator to the passanger side because i could not fid the right pump.the pitman arm bolted right into the 72 drag link (i think that is what it is called)the part numbers are different for the pitman arms from 68-72 and 73-87 trucks but the newer one is the same.Or you could try GMC Pauls i am sure he has new ones too.(the manual steering ones are different tho)

Still for sale. $150 shipped (continental US). If it doesn't sell at this price, I'll just keep it!! I do not have a crank pulley for it.
