Some progress on the firewall...

Well, I'm getting pretty darn close to attaching filler panels now. I got the driver side just about finished up today, and with a little more bending and banging, I think she'll be ready for some prep and adhesion. You can tell from the pictures that the driver side is indeed a pain in the arse to shave, but I think this will work out and look fairly decent when it's under paint. I also have a pic in there of the inside where the master cylinder hole and mounting holes will go back through, and there will be one more hole for the column (NOT that large triangular pile of junk filler...)

Oh yea, had to throw in a few teasers of the slug too

Looks awesome man...you are making good progress! What Painless kit are you running...I assume it ISN'T the 73-87 kit right?

Now you are making me wish I shaved MY drivers side too.

I couldn't resist starting to mount the master cylinder... I've got to extend the mounting hardware, but tape gets the idea across for now... Also a shot of the wiring for you Jeff, part number is on the box...

Looking great. Are you planning on driving the truck in the winter months? Keep up the good work.

LOHRTBT : Whoever else wants it is welcome to it... at the rate I'm going now, it'll be in primer for a little bit, and who the hell needs to cover up primer? LOL

86swb: It'll be tucked away nice and warm in storage during the winter months. Hoosier quicktimes arent too good with traction... LOL

Hopefully today I'll be able to go down and pick up the seam sealer I need and some kitty hair filler for the final body work on it, then I've gotta get it out and sandblast the firewall all clean...

I just bought a Manual brake master cylinder for my year truck. I'll get the exact part number for you if you'd like.
