Buy a 68 First year of big motor, best looking nose(but weld up markers, put on a 67 cab(for small window)drop on 72 DB setup.but in my pesonal honest opininion a 67 GMC is by far the coolest with chrome grille, all chrome is cool in my 69 but needs a slanted hood!!!Well easiest thing to do go find a loaded 72 and put on a 68 Nose.

I'm suprised how popular the 67-68's are becoming in this series. Most books I have have read proclaim how popular the 69-70 and 71-72 trucks are compared to the 67-68's.

67 or 68
That front end is simply the bomb! Slam it to the ground, slap on some paint and cruz!

'69 GMC lwb
They have the best looking hood and grill w/4 lights. What is a truck without a long bed? IMO just old enough, but not too new.

'67
'67 is my choice, because of the slanted hood and clean body lines. But if you want front discs and 5 lug hubs then get a different year and put a '67 front end on. Then you've killed 2 birds and got stoned. You've got the ability to find better rims, and front disc brakes; and the nice front end. But if you go that way you MUST shave out the rear markers too.

discs, unlike previous years, and no smog control unlike the 72. It looks more like a modern truck with the honeycomb grille, but still in a classic stye.

71.
Metal Door Skins inside. Disk Brakes. If not, then a 67 or 68. I think the hood and grille look a lot better.
