door retianer/spring???

I am getting tired of the doors slamming shut on me....so I need to get the retiaing springs to put on they weren't there when I got the truck....does any one know what they are listed as in catalogs...it seems like all I can find is the entire assembly....so does that mean I am going to have to replace the whole hinge????

What Springs?

I haven't ever seen any springs on othe hinges of our trucks. I've seen them on camaros of the same years but not on trucks. I have always thought that the door was proped open by the door catch mechanism on the top door hing. I think that is what does it because I just replaced both my upper hinges and the doors seem to stay open better. This is just my experience I could be wrong. I know that when my truck was doing that it got really annoying . Good luck.
