How do tyou adjust the parking brake cable?
My "new" '72 C20's parking brake works, but right at the bottom of the pedal. How do I tighten it up? I looked at it underneath, but I didn't see any type of adjuster.

The cable attached to the pedal runs out through the firewall, through the driver side chassis rail and attaches to a crossover cable that runs underneath the transmission and connects to the two wheel cables. There are to jam nuts located on the end of the pedal cable down near the driver side of the transmission. You can thread the two jam nuts on a little farther to tighten up the parking brake.

also a good idea to set the e-brake about 2-3 clicks before starting the adjustments, so when the cable tightens up and the brake starts to drag you've got just the right amount of tension.

its possible your rear brakes are out of adjustment and just need to do a normal brake adjustment and you e brake should come back into function.

My longbed has a cable guide on either frame rail. Little eyes made out of like 1/8"wire. If they are missing it makes adjustment impossible.
