heater hose ?s

where does the heater hose from the rad go to (just put 4 core in and old rad didnt have this on it )? heater core top or bottom ?
if so do i block off the water pump or the intake ?

You can run either the radiator or the waterpump for the 3/4 hose. The 5/8 will still go to the intake. The heater core should tell which way to go, the smaller of the two will go to the intake. Actually you cant really hook up the hoses wrong on the core...

Radiator to top heater (3/4" = larger hose).

Lower heater (5/8" = smaller) to control valve on inner fender, then to intake -

Water pump blocked -

This is on my stock '72 with A/C. Hope this helps!

But someone could have put the heater core in up-side-down. Correct is 3/4" @ top, 5/8" @ bottom on a non-A/C truck.

well as things would have it the heatercore is in upside down lol i have no clue to what i was thinkin back then the last time i changed it was about 15 to 18 years ago hhhmmmm i may need to look at the heater core and see if its still ok

I recently had almost the same questions. Turns out I had them backwards, not that it made a big difference, I wanted it to look right.
