Anyone have a good source for Modine radiators?

Need to find someplace that sells them at a fair price!

Thumbs up

Call a place called Rad. Doc! 1-800-252-0333. Found them on ebay. Got a 4 core rad, (correct lower hose fitting), Modine rad, shipped to my door in 3 working days for $165.00. Figured I couldn't get one locally for less than $250.00, so I bought it. Oh yea, lifetime warranty. Hope this helps?

Their phone no. is 1-888-252-0333. I'm also in the market for a new 4 core and will be giving them a call soon. I've heard that some of Modine's radiators are assembled/made in Mexico and other countries...can't US manufacurers sell US made products anymore? I know, NAFTA... Too bad we Americans are more than willing to jeopardize (whore) our reputation by marketing inferior materials and workmanship for the almighty dollar. I'm not saying that all imported automotive parts are all inferior but a higher percentage of the ones I've personally inspected are poorly made. Who the hell can afford US made parts anymore on "blue collar" wages? Man I feel better getting that off my chest!

Modine...

Modine is definitly not what it used to be! That used to be the one source for a nice solid piece. Our experience, at work, in the last couple of years has been hit or miss with them. I don't think that their stuff is any better than most of the imported stuff now but their prices seemed to have come down along with their quality. Used to be a Modine rad was 50% more than the ROC made junk but now they are almost the same. Hmmmm?

I just bought a radiator from the Radiator Doctor on ebay. It is NOT a modine. It is a TransPro. It has a 1 year warranty and its made in Mexico. The radiator looks decent, but they missed alot of spots with paint. Also the original fan shroud will not fit without spacers. Looks like they used a 73up top bar on the radiator, which is wider. I used the radiator anyway, just used 2 3/8s nuts for spacers. Going to have to find something better looking though. One last thing, the way the neck is built you can barely get the radiator cap on, or the overflow hose. The hose nipple is tight against the tank and the radiator neck is tight against the hose nipple. I ordered from this outfit because I'd seen someone else had said they were modine, but that's not what I got.
