codes on firewall?

Can anyone decipher the numbers on my firewall?

CS10704 is the model number.

You should have a shortbed stepside, with an inline six.

Not sure about the other number though, sorry.

Seems the Longhorns have Z84 on them...no idea what it is for, but I've seen it on 3 of the 4 that i have seen in person.

Z84, per a 1969 GM Resto. Pack is "Custom Sport Truck: For Chassis-Cab and Pickup Models only."....it's a lot longer than that, but I don't feel like typing it, and I can't find my scanner cord.

I don't know why an interior trim option code would be on the firewall.....I guess to help the efficiency of the assembly line process.

Crap, now i can't remember what the code is i am thinking of... not enough sleep ..
As for what is a Longhorn...look at my website, it is an extended wheelbase truck.

My 67 SWB Stepside had numbers on the firewall, and the same numbers were on the manual tranny too. I hate to paint over those when I paint the truck...but I guess there is no way to preserve them, huh.
