No one home at one place, stopped at body shop to ask about 72 Camper Special, guy said he thinks owner wants a lil over a grand for it, has rebuilt 400 sb, factory air cab but no compressor, needed rockers but otherwise solid, oh well, don't even have money for the 70 GMC step side I saw at another place for $250, missing a grill, 6 cyl.

I have found over 50 trucks and 2 blazers in the past few months, they
are either "Not for sale" or "I'm gonna fix her up someday" people suk

It's not "I'm gonna fix her up someday".....It's "I'm gonna let her rust up someday".....

Ever have somebody say " I'm gonna fix it up someday" and then turn around in the same breath ask you how much it's worth?

Heh, there is a few sites dedicated to those kinds of cars. I dont remmeber the name off hand, but there is some seriously classic cars literally rotting away. It makes you want to cry.

Wastin' away!
We had a junkyard here in my town where nothing in it was over a mid 60's vehicle. Progress came in and he would never part with any of them then the county came and said that he was polluting the runoff water with the rust and made him scrap them all!!! He was also rumored to have 50 flathead ford motors in a whse still in the crate! Not that it matters here but that was cool.
55chevy, did the 69 step you saw run and what kind of condition was the bed in? might be interested. Thanks! |
