Can anyone I.D. this coolant overflow bottle?

Hey there gang,
My rig had this excellent shape coolant overflow bottle, but it cracked and I want to replace it.

Since it is off another car or truck, I don't know where to begin my search.



Do any of you have a good idea where it came from?

That actually looks like a generic one from auto zone to me... Look on the shelf by the flex fans and fuel lines.

I'm going to guess that "A" is the alternator support bracket that bolts on between the head, and the upper alternator bracket on 72 only big blocks. (I need one of these if you want to sell it). I think "B" is a A/C bracket, but I'm not sure where it attaches. I don't recognize the bottle.

Actually, that looks like the overflow bottle from the factory. What does the cap say? It would have mounted on the radiator support on the drivers side. You say the bottle is cracked. If the cap is in good shape, I would be interested in it. I have a bottle and no cap.

Well..not from the factory... but from the dealer. There were no overflow tanks in 67 - 72 trucks, only dealer installed units.

It looks a lot like the one on my 67 short step. I will look tomorrow and compare.

Part #A looks the round brake booster support rod, mostly found on the 20 series Dual Diaphram boosters. Does it have a slight J type bend close to one end? See pic#2, the bend is close to the wire harness plug. No clue as to what #B might go to.

If as Americanrider says, #A doesn't look like it has the slotted part long enough.
BTW, is your dual diaphram brake booster given as an option on the glove box sticker? I ask because on my 71 K20, I would like to upgrade to the dual diaphram like yours, but I don't know if I can just switch the diaphram part or if the push rod is special also.

It isn't an option, it is on 3/4 ton and one ton trucks automaticly when you opt for power brakes.

Those pics where sent to me by a another member, not my brake rod. I'm just guessing but since you mentioned it your mystery rod does not have the elongated hole. Hmmm....
