Question What width are leaf springs on a '72 C20?

I was recently told that my leafs should be 2.5" wide, but I measured and they're only 2.25" wide, although the overload leaf is 2.5".

The reason I want to know is I'm trying to get some lowering shackles to level out the truck. It seems the only ones available are for 2.25" wide leafs.

Am I measuring wrong somehow?

I have a 1970 C-20 rear leaf spring truck. I`ll measure it this weekend and see what I get for you.

Smile That's great!

Williso - any results?

For some reason, the suspension place I taked to thought they were all 2.5", which meant their 1.5" drop shackles wouldn't work. Looks like they will after all!

Thanks!

Looks like 2 1/4" also the overload leaf is 2 1/4" except at the ends where it is 2 1/2". Hope this helps.
