Post any ideas for my project?

Hi, some years ago I inherited this truck. It has bin left rusting in a garage for 10 years before I got it, and now I have started restoring it.

I think it has a 12 bolt positraction rear end and the transmission is a 4 speed on the floor with hi and lo. The engin was an L-6 292, I think, but I have bought a trimmed 350 with about 12:1 compressionratio and 320Hp.

It looks like it fitts well on the old transmission (if I use the old starter), but the pice that the right rubber mounting should fit on to against the frame does not seem fit. Also the rode-linkage from the clutch too the pedal doesn't fit. Is this parts easy to get in the states? And does anyone know if there is more parts I need to replace (for fitting the new engine)?

The information I have says this is a 68 GMC Truck 910, but the part-dealers can't find the model in any of their catalogues. Does anyone know which Chevrolet this truck is similar to? I think the dealers has parts for most Chevrolets.

I don't have a lot of experience in fixing trucks, so my God I was happy when I discovered this board. I have alreaddy learned a lot. Thank you guys.

Here are some pics of it as it was when I got it up here in the north of norway. And the pictures ar not taken at night.

From your message I wasn't sure if you understood the "hi and lo" is your transfer case. It should actually have a 2 wheel drive Hi and then 4 wheel drive Hi and 4 wheel drive Low range. It should be a Rockwell T221 transfer case and the 4 speed is more than likely the CH465 (sometimes referred to as SM465). The transfer case low range give you a ratio of 1.96 to 1. It is a strong transfer case but parts are hard to find.

Looks like a good starting place. Are you wanting to resto or just make better?

Curious about the 910. Anybody have the scoop on this model?

Couldn't tell you guys about the 910 but for the most part the truck resembles my 69 GMC 3/4 ton longbox stepcide custom pickup

If I remember correctly, somebody stated that 910 is the identification used on Canadian trucks, like the C10 identification. Anyone else know?

On your motor mounts, the 292 has a different bracket on the RH side, that will need to be changed to bolt the motor. the clutch linkage is all different from 6 to V8,so you will also need those pcs. Good luck...69 longhorn.
