Texas swap meet
Does anyone know about the swap meet at the Ball Park at Arlington. Is it still scheduled for next weekend. And what are the times.

Weather permitting, ( it's supposed to rain Saturday), I plan on making both swap meets.
I've been going to the Arlington and Pate meets for so many years now, I can't remember not going. Remember the Pate meets out at the old Pate Museum where you could spend the day walking knee deep in mud through the pastures. ------------------ 69 GMC LWB 404/400 daily driver 71 GMC LWB 350/700R4 frame-up restoration in progress

The best part of the old Pate Swap Meet when it was in Cresson Texas at the Museum of Transportation was that the field was divided up in to different makes and models.
It kind of kept folks separated plus made it easier to find what you needed, pretty much everyone in a particular area was into that particular model. I remember seeing street sign's and directions pointing to different model areas. It was also a hoot to take a tour of the museum, which had boats, planes, trains and some interesting vehicles.

I drove through Cresson a couple of weeks ago, and it's kind of sad. The museum is still there, but all the land around it where the swap meets were held has been bought up by some developer and they're
building houses on it. I guess that's what they call progress? ------------------ 69 GMC LWB 404/400 daily driver 71 GMC LWB 350/700R4 frame-up restoration in progress

I bought my truck at Pate last year. I hope its outside the speedway again. It was in my opinion a lot larger than the previous couple of years.
