Bolts stuck on rear leafs positions
Got a 72 CC C/20.
The rear bolts on the leaf springs wont loosen! I turbo torched them, brought out the Torch and heated them up but no luck. I have a 1/2" set with a breaker bar and even tried a longer ratchet but it wont loosen. I have even used an electric inmpact wrench on it as well..... I am afraid of stripping the heads or even breaking the bolts.... I heated the heads and threads of the bolts but still it will only spin in their mounting positions.... What is the best remedy for loosening these bolts/nuts?

Re: Bolts stuck on rear leafs positions
I had the same issue when doing the flip kit on my 74. The bolts were supposed to come right out but they would not let go of the 'sleeve' within the bushing. I even tried using some spacers & such w/my ball joint press @ home w/o success.
I wound up having to chisel off all the hanger rivets so I could press the bolts out using a big hydraulic shop press. A simple flip kit lowering job took 5 times the typical work.

Re: Bolts stuck on rear leafs positions
Thanx! I ended up getting some 2X4 steel tybing to use as the pry bar on the end of a 14" 1/2" ratchet...It was really stubborn; creeked and squealed the whole way off but I got them loose, FINALLY!
I used some oil on the threads prior to torquing on them so there would be something there to ease the pain! NOW, on to the U-Bolts that are stuck...arggghhhhhh!
