Re: 6 Cylinder in a 4x4?

![]() I understand there is a book, "Maximum Boost", by Corky Bell that is a must-read. Don't have it yet myself. I have a '72 K/5 rolling frame I intend on running a normally-aspirated 292 in. I have a Holley 390 left over since I put an Ed$elbrock 500 on the L6 in my stepside. I still need to acquire an SM 465/NP205 combo. Also will be converting a KE automatic truck to KS manual. Guess I'll also need to get the X-member. Also thinking of powering a '67 K/10 suburban with a 292 on turbo. Big project, very spendy, but maybe not as costly as operation costs plus rebuild of a scorched 454. (With gas near $3/gal). Sub has a TH350 now, thinking of a 700R4 for the OD. Not sure how effective a switch-on-the-fly gas/propane set-up could be, but that's another bubble of the Suburban pipe dream.
