Blazer tank straps?

Do the straps that are sold for the poly tank fit the original blazer tank? Has anyone fabricated these themself? $40. seems a little steep.

Thanks,

We started making our own straps, using 18 gage galvanized
steel. We fold the ends where the mounting holes are to be drilled for added strength. We used bolts on both ends of the straps for attaching to the frame. The local sheet metal shop sheared the straps for us from sheet stock (at no charge!). We used 1/8 thick rubber to protect the tank from being cut by the straps. They are not nos, but they function quite well.

Thanks very much. This will work just fine as I am not a purist.
