Got the same project going on, can't wait to at least get the thing bolted in and the driveshaft installed

What paint are you using there? I hit my valve covers with a wire wheel. They clean up nice. I plan to remove the posts, polish them and relocate my coilpacks.

Frizzle, what kit are you using to relocate the coil packs? Won't you take a performance hit using the longer plug cables?

There are a few kits on the market, but I haven't decided if I'll use one or make my own. I'm pretty good with wiring and we have nice crimpers/soldering tools at work ($500 daniels kit etc) Use good wires and I doubt the performance delta would be measurable on a dyno.

thanks. tubular a-arms on one side was a test fit (seeing if it gave me the desired drop). they are gonna come back off get repainted along with frame. this is just a mock up, then once im happy with fitment, ill tear it down and paint/ detail it all. im wanting to run tall polished alum. v/c and coil relocation brackets too, but where can i find em ( web site would be helpful).

Nice! Thats going to be a sweet setup. What kind of paint are you using on the engine? I tried the silver on my '71 and it didn't last very well. Going to have to pull it out and clean it up once the Blazer is done. Jeff.

its all about the prep to make the paint stick.the paint is dupli-color aluminum 1615.
