brake booster

After I shut down my engine I think my brake booster bleeds off vaccum for a few seconds kind of a low whistle sound is this ok or is it going south? Seems to brake good.

check the hose and the check valve...esp the grommet going into the booster.
Odds are though, the booster is going bad.

Is that an 11" booster will any 11" booster work? Does it matter.
