are the studs on the M offset (one in the top right corner and bottom left corner) or are they directly across from one another in the middle?

The mounting studs on the letter "M" are off-set. One at the top RH corner as looking toward the truck with hood in position and one at the opposite side lower corner. If you have any other questions I will do my best to answer.
