service manual for '67??

trying to find a service manual for a '67 lwb stepside ( it's a longhorn ), can't find any around these parts so want to see if anybody has an idea of where to look, maybe a website referral. Also, maybe some referrals as to where I can find parts for it, I looked at National Parts Depot, as I was told they carry parts for chevy, but seems to be mainly for ford trucks . Main thing I'm needing is a manual choke kit, tired of messing with the automatic choke. Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

I see service manuals on ebay all the time. Check there first. For aftermarket replacement parts, you can look at Classic Performance Products, Early Classic, LMC, Year One, Mothertruckers, the list oges on and on. I'm sure some people will chime in with others for you.

If you are looking for parts for a 67 longhorn, they didn't make them until 68 i believe and not in a stepside. As far as the choke, most 67-68s came with manual chokes. Try a wanted to buy here, or find a donor truck at a salvage yard. As far as the manual, maybe a vendor here may have one? Good luck with your search.

For a service manual try Faxon Auto Literature in Riverside, Calif. Their toll-free number is: 1-800-458-2734.

About all I know about this truck is it is a '67, previous owner did tell me it was a longhorn, which I had never heard of before now, he said it was 1 of only 1700 ever made. This truck originally had a manual choke, cable is still there, just can't hook it onto the carb. And the 3 on the tree has been converted to a floor shifter.

Re: service manual for '67??

You can probably get a Haynes or Chiltons thru www.motorbooks.com Another option is to check swap meets for a chassis service manual.
