My truck has dual horn option. The notes are in tune with each other. I was thinking of finding a third horn in the same key to make a full 3 note chord. Any idea what musical note each horn is? And what kind of horn I would need to complete the set? Yeah I know...but its raining outside and I've read all my books, lol.

ya so, I have no idea what you are talking about with 3 horns and them making different noises, do they go off in squence or what????? This was an option???

LMAO Gee-Emm.

Buy a pitch-pipe, Determine the notes that your horns are now. Bring a good 12 v battery to a junk yard and test every horn you find until you find one that completes your chord!

You know they do sell a little digital device used for tuning instruments at music shops. It will tell you what note is playing and whether or not it is flat or sharp. It will tell you what note you are talking in, kinda cool but expect to pay around $100 for one.

Also, the horns are "tuneable" to a degree with the bolt/nut on the horn.

If you lived in Calgary, I could lend you my tuner and we could find out or I could drag my trombone over and see if I can match the notes by ear. I know that modern trains use a diminished chord for tuning but I dunno if that's anywhere to start looking on a truck.

Let me know if you find out, I'm kind of curious now.
