my f150 mirrors are on

i scored some off ebay for cheap, these are manual but power wouldn't make much difference to me. they're from a 92-96 f150 or bronco if you're interested. they mount good 7 inches from the front of the door so that the vents work, enjoy the pics.

edit: i had to modify a bracket, i then found out it was aluminum when it wouldn't weld to angle iron... so i cut it off

well without a seat i gave a look from the inside anyways. it's as good a view as a new truck with these big mirrors.

they look good. do the fit that contour tightly? do they fold in if they were to hit somthing? i'll bet you can get slide on extensions like the newer chev mirrors for towing as well

right now since i don't have that support arm anymore they're held on by 2 screws. i'm going to make a backing plate so they don't jiggle so much, and so they won't flex my door when i touch them. at first when i put the mirrors on, they were rotated towards the outside, so i rotated them in 1 click...? ford stuff i wouldn't understand i guess. i havent figured out if they rotate in all the way yet.
the contours are good, it sits level, but there is a small gap so i'm going to lay down some black silicon after the truck is painted, during reassembly. that will help with wind channeling and water resistance.
