Holley Truck Avenger carburetor
Has anyone bought or seen one of these in action? http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLin.../TrkAvngr.html If so how well did it work and will it run smooth on a 350 bored over 30 with a rv cam. Goin to purchase by next week I hope. Price is $389.99, but seen 3 on ebay for $369.99.

Might I suggest the holley 4175. Its a spreadbore carb so it has better throttle response and better mileage than a square bore holley but it uses all the familiar holley vacuum secondary components. Scroggins Dickey has them for $279 and summit for just short of $300. I think they are holleys best kept secret. They are more versatile and tuneable than the edelbrocks and will run better than all but the best built quadrajets.

I have a square bore intake already, so i assume they have adapters? I have a holley 600 on there now and was rebuilt bout 9 months ago but i need a choke here in Alaska.

What type of intake is it? If it has both bolt patterns like an edelbrock performer then you just need a steel plate that edelbrock sells . Its sort of an adaptor. If it only has one bolt patttern than I have a spare adptor you can have to fit it on a square bore intake.

If you don't need off-road capabilities, I would go with the regular 670 Street Avenger for $359 at Summit. In fact, for a 350 with an RV cam, the 570 may be your best bet for low and mid range throttle response. If you have an aftermarket square bore manifold, I'd sure be inclined to use a square bore carb. I am running an Edelbrock 600 carb and have very little experience with Holleys, but am considering a 670 Street Avenger for my 383 refurbishment project, mainly because they look so cool! By the way, that e-bay carb doesn't appear to be a Street Avenger. The seller says it's "like a Street Avenger."

Yes i seen that one one ebay, not interested in used. I want new i think i will spend the money and get that truck avenger carb. i live here in Alaska so i will be off road all winter...well on ice and snow that is. And i need something that will start at 20 below and not die on me. Thanks for all the input i will be buying this weekend i hope. If pay is what i expect it to be
