Plugs for an HEI setup?
I figure if I'm going to pull the plugs on my engine, I'll go ahead and replace them, they're cheap enough. It's just a more-or-less stock 1970 350, original in the truck...I believe the standard plugs with .035 gap are ACDelco R43's? Do they make that plug with a .050 gap instead? (because I'm just lazy like that and if the cost is no different, why not... =)

If you are running the washer seat plugs,I think it was a 45 that I used(its been a while). At any rate, use the plug that the truck calls for,& open the gap to .045 & you should be ok........69

I wouldn't go to .050...that is a good way to burn up plug wires and coils.

The AC Delco plugs with the "X" after the number refers to extra wide gap. FYI, "T" designates tapered, and "S" extended tip. Hope this helps you, Chumley
