Re: Interior color ?

Although these trucks were extensively redesigned and targeted for big sucess(it worked),I don`t think even the guys that designed these beauties payed nearly as much attention to details as we have and still do today. They had a few years,we`ve had 35 years +/-.

Re: Interior color ?

Is there a air relief vent below the VIN. tag? If not its a 71 Cab a 72 rear view and doors. The VIN says its a 71. As for the frame that might be a 72 frame. Does it have the extra braces under the moter mounts? They look like this.

Yes, there is a vent below the VIN tag, I didn't know about that year identification detail.
There is an extra brace on right side only, another sign that one frame rail has been changed.
Thanks for the help.

Re: Interior color ?

Sounds like a 72 truck with a 71 VIN, maybe that replaced frame rail explains that. The origianl 72 VIN was a totaled truck. Just something to wonder.

Yes, it sure looks like that but it's cool for me.
Nobody at the inspection when I registered it Sweden did notice any of that, if they should have that could have caused some problems. It is registered as a 71 here.

What about the extra braces, are they 72 BB only braces or on which trucks could they be found?

Thanks
