Problem with turn signals
OK, here is the story: Driver's side front signal (the one under the headlight) didn't light up when I turn the headlights on but blinked when I used the turn signal to make a left turn. Passenger side is on with the headlights but doesn't blink. Both of the turn signals on the fenders didn't work.
So I ran up to Autozone and picked up some 2057s for the front and 194s for the sides, just like the guy working the counter said I needed. I got home and put them in....and I still have the same problem except now the little green arrows on the inside stay on constant and the left turn signal doesn't work. WTF!!! Hey I'm a newbe here and I need some help. Please before I decide to beat the truck with a hammer...

Re: Problem with turn signals
You may have a bad bulb or a short somewhere. You may have to clean the contacts up in side the lense a bit if they are rusted up. I doubt it is you flasher, but wouldn't hurt to replace it.

Re: Problem with turn signals
Check the grounding first, then apply a known good grd to the side of the lamp (while in the socket). Next pull the steering wheel and look at the turn signal unit itself, it isn't the first time I have heard of a major meltdown there.
