Re: can you guys recommend a good disc brake setup?

You can go with a conversion kit from early classics, brothers, or Classic perfromance products. They range in price, depends on how nice you want them. Most of the kits are single pistion calibers, spindle, your choice of 5 or 6 lug, and what ever kind of rotor you want. You can go with some bad boys from baer or ssbc, but I dont think thats what you looking for. Hope that helps

And can usually be pieced together cheaper than a kit from an out-of-state company. Those guys are great if your around the corner.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: can you guys recommend a good disc brake setup?

Any 73-87 swap will be 5 lug.

The aftermarket 6 lug disc kits are based on mostly 73-87 brake parts though. They use the calipers, bearings, seals, brake pads, etc from the later trucks, with a special set of 6 lug rotors.

I bought a kit from Early Classic Enterprises and am quite pleased with it. There may be cheaper places, but none better.

Why not see if you can buy the six lug rotors only from ECE, then buy the parts truck for everything else?
