side marker...lights?
Ive got new side markers with the light holes already cut out. Think I'll go ahead and make them functional. Do the side markers light with the turn signals or wit the standard running lights?

I heard they just work with running lights, but wiring them up to work with the turn signals wouldn't be too hard.

I think I'd rather have them with the turn signals. A wiring I will go.

I'm pretty sure mine come on with the running lights and also flash with the turn signals. One strange thing I have noticed is that they flash out of sequence with the front and rear turn signals. Does anyone know if this is normal or do I have another wiring gremlin?

Some flashed, some did not.
I've had 2 '70 chevys now, and the 3/4 ton flashed...but the one ton does not. Both harnesses were untampered. To make it flash, run the ground wire from the side marker to the turn signal wire on the front marker. When the tun signal is not powered, it acts as a ground...and when it is powered, the ground is intureupted. The rear ones never blinked. |

Wiring them is easy like Longhorn said. If you reverse the wires like he said it will make the fronts flash out of time with the turn signals. The back ones never did flash on any of mine. I don't think they were made to. You just run the wires to them from the Brown wire for the hot side and a wire to ground for the other side. Jeff.
