Some good BS
This guy that lives around me has a pretty worn 71 GMC LWB w/ fact a/c, fact posi, and orig 305 that knocks. Well he finaly put it up for sale and i stopped to tak a look at. You can tell its 31yrs old and has the usual rust everywhere and a big ole dent in the bed. But any how to make a sale he was telling me how his edelbrock carb cost $500 alone. And the a/c and heater worked perfect (even though there were no hoses running to the core). He said hes beat z28 camaros and that one time he was cruisin around 85mph and a mustang 5.0 wanted to race him and he blew the doors off the stang so bad the guy though he had a race engine in it!
Some good BS... if i might say so myself.

Good one!
V6 or V8? And what year did they stop putting the 305E in pickups? It was before 1971, I think.

never heard of anyone like that before...yeah right....there is a guy in my welding class with at 86 mazda 626 4 dr..pos..he says he has 180 hp 4 banger 5 spd...16,000 inothe car..looks like he has maybe a couple grand in it tops.why would someone lie like that? he took me for a drive on break today and it was such a pos..i knew before i got in but he bs'ed so much i had to see wht the big fuss was...and then when we got out i didnt say a word and he allready was making excuses...like oh it takes 20 min for all the sensors to warm up... and my steel toe boots are too big for my performance pedals..i almost feel over laughing...why cant my truck build itself over night so i can take it to school tomorrow and just park it beside his..i bet it would scare the $hit out of him

Well check this out my 71 has a motor that was built at AREA 51 by these secret goverment dudes. If I had the right tranny (still being developed) I could lift the front tires if I punched it doing 60 down the highway...

I bet he gained over 50 hp after he put in some high performance muffler bearings.
