anybody have a list of 6cyl casting #s

well i already determened that all 3 motors i have are either 250s or230s.
but thats as far as i got.
and i cant seem to find casting #s on the internet for inline 6s

any body have any info that would help, i would like to get a hold of a list for future referance.

If it's in a 67 truck, it should be a 250. Date code is also cast with the block, should be to the left of the block number. There will be a series of letters and numbers that starts with the conveyer number, CON 2. After that is the casting date, such as E187. Letter is the month A January. The center digits are the date, with the last digit being the year. E187 would be May 18 with the year 1967, 1977 or 1987.

In the production engine remanufacturers association catalog book i have it lists the 3921968 as a 1972 thru 1967 250 truck engine. Lists the 3877178 as 1972 thru 1967 250 passenger engine and 1970 thru 1963 230 passenger engine and 1970 thru 1965 230 truck engine. Hope this helps.
