round two A/C parts
Is there any way to test a/c parts that are stored in the attic?. like the Accumilator?evaporator? and the A/c hose assembly?. I have these up in the attic and I'm wondering are they any good how do you test them on the bench. or are they taking up space on shelf #4. or do they need to go to scrap?

about the only test you can do would be a pressure test for leaks - but for the most part, you have to have the whole system together that's when you usually start looking for leaks too - and thats by putting the system into a vacuum and waiting to see if it holds. I wouldn't scrap any of it - unless(until) someone tries to use a part and it's determined to be bad.

If you could properly seal the inlet and outlet of the various parts you can use compressed air to test them.
Or(a little safer)would be a vacume leakdown test. If you can obtain a vacume pump and a gauge.Pull a vacume and then let said part sit.If it holds vacume it "should" be o.k. Also depends on how old those parts are.Rubber will deteriorate with time,heat and UV exposure.

If the parts have not been sealed I would not use any of them. You can take the parts to a radiator shop and the can pressure test all of them for you.
