How much tire with backspacing

Anyone know offhand how much tire you can get on the rear without it coming out the wheelwells with a 15x10 with 3.75" back spacing?

Re: How much tire with backspacing

I have 275-60/15's on 15x10's with 4.5" of backspace on my truck. The backspacing you cited will add another 3/4" of offset to the outside, won't it? You should put one of them on your truck and physically check where the outside of the rim is, relative to the fender well opening. Then, you'll be more informed as to how much room you actually will have.

When I ordered my Wheel Vintique wheels, I had a choice of 4.5 or 5-inch backspace. I went with the former.

Re: How much tire with backspacing

My truck has 275-60/15's on 15x10's with 4.5" and they stick out about an inch, inch and a half. Wheel vintiques also. Mine is stepside whick i think is narrower outside than wide box. Mine is also 72 model rear which is wider than the early 67-70.

Re: How much tire with backspacing

I have 295/50/15 on mine with 10'' wheels but I don't know the back spacing. They fit under there prety nice. No rub. Don't know if being a short wide than to a step side would be any difference.
