Serpintene belt conversion. Has anyone ever???
I was wondering if any one is running a sirpintene belt on there 67-72, I would like to go this route, but I have not come across or seen any pulleys for the A/C compressior, I have the long compressior, i have seen the power steering pulley, and the water pump pulley, does any one know of a complete kit?
I think this is the route that I want to go when I install my 383. Sam

A company called March has a serpentine belt conversion kit...not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for, but who knows.

Ya might have to change yer water pump. With a serpetine belt setup, it'll run backwards. Not good for yer motor. Just my $.02

I just had this done. By all means don't forget to change to a reverse flow water pump. My "mechanic" swore I didn't need to. The truck overheated before I got it home. Also remember you will need to change to a fan blade compatible with the reverse flow water pump, or use an electric fan. Otherwise the blades on your present fan are curved the wrong way. As far as your compressor goes I'm not sure. I needed a new compressor so I just got one that fit. the brackets for all this came off an S-10.
