Anyplace to weigh vehicle in DFW???
I have the itch to weigh my new project, just wondering if anyone knows of a place that I can pull the car on to the scales and see what it weighs?
Thanks, Taylor

IF you see a black cat sign on a truck stops billboard, it has a set of truck scales.

What they all said! Most T/A (TravelCenters of America), Pilot, Petro, Flying J, etc. have the Black Cat scales and are more than willing to weigh your vehicle. I had one of our work rigs (F350 crew cab duallie with 20' enclosed trailer with one of our show cars inside) weighed at one of these truck stops to verify weight for DOT logs. You feel wierd asking the cashier about it, but in my case it was very reasonable: $7. I did my weigh in just after I had completely filled the truck with fuel. It was fully loaded and with me in the driver's seat. The whole outfit came in at 16K.

Re: Anyplace to weigh vehicle in DFW???
I can hook you up @ my work. We have scales that are calibrated every 6mo. & they should be fairly accurate for a car (the scales are for loaded/unloaded tanker trucks).
I would have to squeeze you in later one evening during the week or weekend. We have trucks coming/going from 6am until about 8pm (later if things don't go right during the day).

I always used the scrap metal yard near my Dad's house for my bracket car.

I think my local dump has scales, but I've not asked. It LOOKS like a scale in the ground at least!
