Who has the best deal on chassis kits?
I'll be rebuilding the front end on my 71 1/2 ton donor frame.
I'll be doing the "whole thing". Where is the best place to buy a kit that includes inner/outer ends, idler arm, adj. sleeves. upper and lower ball joints. and etc.

I know Early Classic sells some form a front end rebuild kit that consists of all Moog chassis parts. Don't really know of any alternatives though, I just noticed that while browsing through their catalog.

CPP (Classic Performance Products) also has a complete front-end rebuild kit available for $269-. Comes with upper/lower ball joints, inner/outer tie rod ends, tie rod adjusting sleeves, idler arm and poly sway bar bushing kit.

Re: Who has the best deal on chassis kits?
Check Napa, I'll bet you save some money than buying from these guys, plus you dont have to pay shipping. Napa will have qaulity parts (Moog) vs, autozone, VIP, checker, etc

Re: Who has the best deal on chassis kits?
I'll check with these vendors and Napa.
Any opinions on Federal Mogul vs. Moog?

Re: Who has the best deal on chassis kits?
I like Moog.Ask your NAPA guy to cut the price on all parts involved. Can`t hurt.BTW,does your truck have the original drum brakes up front?

Re: Who has the best deal on chassis kits?
I priced each piece at the auto parts store it it ends up being WAY more then the rubber kit from www.p-s-t.com
I ended up with the front end kit (rubber) and trailing arm bushings (poly) from PST for my project. I'm very happy with it. |

Re: Who has the best deal on chassis kits?
PST has good parts and resonable pricing, but buying these kits from Chevy Duty, CPP you get raked..

Re: Who has the best deal on chassis kits?
As for Chevy Duty, they sell the CPP kits. I bought a disc brake conversion/upgrade kit for my '70 from Chevy Duty, then got the CPP catalog in the mail and it is the same picture/parts as Chevy Duty. The kit is nice either way.
