nascar look ?
Does anyone have any pics of 67-72 trucks done in a stock car look? I am looking at the stock car type steel wheels in 8 or 10" . I believe Bassett makes the wheels Nascar uses but American Racing and a couple more make them also.
http://www.americanracing.com/wheels...767&desc=Steel alloy, painted§ion=S# This is only one brand. Any pics of stepside or fleet with these type wheels and a moderate lowering would be great. Thanks.

Here is one I took at a show a feew years ago. Only one I saw close to a NASCAR theme. Oh it had a turbocharged engine in it.

Re: nascar look ?
Yeah. Now that's what I'm talkin bout fellas. Exactly. Looks like the 67 even has a window net. I'm guessing the rims on the red one are 8" while the other two truck's are 10's maybe with about a 27" tall tire. Drop of about 4/6?
I am also mulling around the idea of running the exhaust outside of the frame rails to exit under the step with a flat oval type opening similar to what cup cars run. I know this stock car stuff isn't for everybody but it sure stirs my blood. Been a fan all my life. And I can change the look again easily to something else if I want to. Thanks fellas. And Merry Christmas to yall!

Re: nascar look ?
The truck I posted has the actual racing rims. I am not into nascar but I think the idea of the truck like that would be cool. Post some pictures whenever you do it.

Re: nascar look ?
I always thought about painting my riding lawnmower in a nascar theme.

Re: nascar look ?
mpg is the same, had to sacrifice some performance though, but for the price, it's right. natural gas prices just went up cuz winter home heating bills went up too. bout a buck forty right now. when i come back home in a couple years and pull my truck outtta storage i'm gonna take those tanks and put em on another truck and rod out my 70. as for now gotta get her ready for storage.

Re: nascar look ?
I like the tire/rim combos on those trucks. Looks pretty good.
