3.08's & 33's?
Just swapped out my 3.73 rearend for a 3.08 for a long trip down to Nevada....anyone else running this set-up? I cannot believe that it does'nt feel that much different seat of the pants-wise.
I'm hoping to gain a little MPG with this set-up. My RPM's at 55 or 60 went from 2800 to 2000. Anyone? Thanks.....

3.08)3.07 in trucks) would hinder off line acceleration, and so would taller tires, but you are after better mileage not performance so yeah larger tires would help you get mileage on highway btu would be harder on driveline when accelerating from stop, you wouldnt want to go much larger than 33's with 3.07 if you plan on alot of in town driving or you may find yourslef rebuilding tranny kinda often.

Just the trip
Yeah...this set-up is just for a trip to Nevada, and back home.
The original 373 set-up is getting a bath, some new stuff, and going back in once I get home. Hell, I've had this axle out and in so many times with the lift, I've almost got it down to a science. Thanks.......
