71 C-10 seat swap
I am new here (just posted my intro),and I have a simple question. I am installing a early 90's bench seat in my 1971 cab, with the brackets that came with the seat.the seat seems a little high to me, I know it is no big deal to cut the brackets but I just wondered if it was necessary,or if any of you had cut them down a little.I have seen lots of trucks with these seats, but never noticed if the brackets were cut or not. thanks for your input.

Re: 71 C-10 seat swap
I mounted mine like this. The mount is behind the hump in the cab so it sits flat on the floor like it's supposed to. You lose adjustment, but the cab is too small to need to pull the seat forward anyway. I don't think the seat is any higher than a stock bench.
