Dana 60 Questions

I've got a line on a Dana 60 posi, but I don't know if it will fit. By fit I mean will the mounting of the leaf springs and shocks line up the same. I have a 71' C20 with a Dana 60, the one I'm dealing on is out of a 79' Ford. The axle is 300 miles away so I can't just drive down the street and lok at it. I know the spline count may vary, but what other differences are there? THanks

After the mid 60's almost all of the Danas are the fine spline, but like you said, you never know! One or the other might work, but I doubt it. Fords also typically have a lot longer floating hub assembly and require different wheel center caps than a GM. Get the Ford 60, sell it to a guy with a Ford, and then get one for a 67-72.
