Got a ?????????? problem
I sold a blazer top to a member a year ago, he mailed me $$$ and was planning on coming here this past summer, last time he was on board was in May/05, that was the last time I talked to him too. I've pm'd him, I've had BOSS (James) check with Josh for info on him, I've checked the internet trying to find him, but to avail. Any ideas on what to do??????? Thanks Randy

Re: Got a ?????????? problem
You've got the money, so at least you're ahead.
If space is an issue, move it. Out in your neck of the woods, it shouldn't be too much trouble to find someone with a little abandoned barn space. Or perhaps some out behind the barn space. If it gets damaged or stolen, it is the buyers responsibility. You have done your job by keeping it a year. my .02 I have the same problem with a car I sold on e-bay. Shipping company is supposedly jerking the buyer around. I moved it to the street w/o a tag and notified the buyer a week ago. If it gets towed and impounded it is his issue. It must be rough to be a buyer with so much money that you never even pick up new purchases.

Re: Got a ?????????? problem
I can see your problem you hold the money the new owner signed the title over its legally out of your name .since you have stored his truck on your land he owes you a reasonable fee ,can you get a lean on it ? re title in your name just as any storage yard would do? . best save the bill of sale and your sales agreement in a safe location ,so its never comes down to your word and his word
good luck |

Re: Got a ?????????? problem
here in oregon if no contact can be made (this means through all possible sources) after 90 days the cash and truck are yours.
I went through this back in 94 with a 69 buick skylark. Guy stopped by gave me $900 for the car, and then never came back.

Re: Got a ?????????? problem
No One should expect you to hold on to an item for over a year! I would wait until one year from the time you made the transaction and then do what you want. You have exhausted all you resources trying to contact him so do what you want. Sell it again!

Re: Got a ?????????? problem
Thanks for all the info and sites guys, I tried them all, but still can't find him. I just want to be fair to him, I've PM'd him I don't know how many times. He was wanting to come in May or June but I was busy all the dates he asked me, that was in the May PM from him. I'm thinking about reselling the top and if he evers gets with me just repaying him what he paid me. Its been 9 months since I last had any contact with him. and like I said he bought it March I think. I have a place to store it but I'm trying to clean it up some to make it all look better out there. Thanks Randy

Re: Got a ?????????? problem
I agree Randy. Just resell it and repay him him he ever contacts you. After 9 months of storing it for him, I don't know that you owe him ALL the money back.

Re: Got a ?????????? problem
I`d sell it at this point. He has left himself vulnerable with no contact for so long.I can only imagine what a less honest seller(not hard to find)would have already done. You`ve done right so far, more than should be expected and in this case, assumed by the buyer.I,personally, wouldn`t hold back storage on him if he ever shows. If he does come around for it after it`s re-sold,don`t worry, just blame it on your wifeThat`s what they`re for,"she said get rid of it or..."

Re: Got a ?????????? problem
I think I have sort found him. He must have fallen on bd luck with his job and is now a over the road trucker. In a blog I believe he wrote I think he said he had lost all his links and a lot of his info. There was one number I found but don't know if it current. He left MOT about the same time.
