Re: Where do YOU find the time?????????

I find the time after my kids are in bed. If I am lucky that gives me 1-2 hrs a night.

Re: Where do YOU find the time?????????

Some great wisdom in these posts. See the quote in my sig? She said that cause she was out in the shop "helping" me. My old sig quote when she was 3 was " that orange thing in daddy's truck is a small block chevy." My 18 YO son thinks I can fix Anything. He's way off, but it's because he's spent time in the shop with me too. Those are some of my biggest rewards. My kids aren't in my way, they are the whole reason I'm here.
You won't suddenly have lots of time. Make time. Do whatever you can, when you can. Take the kids with you. TV is a huge project killer.

Re: Where do YOU find the time?????????

It is hard to have to sit around and neglect your project because of other commitments. I joined this site when I got my truck, almost 3 years ago now.
I dd'ed it for a year and a half, then the transfer case blew up...and the windshield needs replaced...and the clutch...and its rusty...and it needs 4 new wheels and tires...etc.

I've slowly been accumulating little parts to fix it, but I lack in the money and time departments, and I have a g/f but no family to support! I am a senior in college and only takin 12 credit/hrs of school but workin 45 hrs in my 2 jobs. Seems like I can only make ends meet. I think once I am done with school and able to focus on just work, I can start to increase my savings and be able to take some big steps with my project. I sure can't wait!

Re: Where do YOU find the time?????????

It will come sooner than you think(getting done with school). But when you get the job and start making money BAM, kids will come!! Get them involved in your projects seems to be what works well.
