Primer types?
What is the differences between gray, black and white primer? Which kind is best for which kind of work?

Most primers are available in different colors, depending on what color you want to put over it. There are different types of primers depending on the use. There are self etching primers for going over bare metal, and surfacing primers for sanding and smoothing out the scratches, etc.
You really should get a paint system that is made to work together. If you go into any auto paint store, they are very helpful.
