What is this part?
Can anyone tell me what this part is that was hanging underneath my steering column? 72' chevy C-10

That is supposed to be your back-up light switch and neutral switch

OK, thank you very much. I have a 79' chevy van tilt column. I'm having problems with my hazard lights and wondered if this thing had something to do with it.
When I push in my hazard button, they only blink if I flip my signal lever up (right blinker). Otherwise they don't work. |

Sounds like the hazard flasher gizmo is bad. The one on the fuse block. Swap it and the turn signal one and you'll know for sure. Jeff.
