Re: Interior Colors

Stock would be a light tan, like in mine I believe. Depending on what you do with your seat, black would also look Ok in there.
*EDIT* I thought mine was parchment, but maybe its sandalwood or something? truck is in storage so can't check at the moment.

Re: Interior Colors

Thanks for the responses. I think this post is going in the right direction. More pictures of a 71 with parchment interior that shows the seat belts would be nice?

Re: Interior Colors

My '72 Cheyenne Super doesn't have tilt, and it came with black seatbelts. They are blue now because they are faded. I found the center seatbelt stuffed under the seat, and it is still nice and black.

Re: Interior Colors

Found the tag on my cream colored belts. They are from a 77.

So with a tilt wheel the seat belts were black? Is this correct?

Mario72, I like the faded parchment.

All I can tell you is that mine does, and I'm 99.9% certain it's stock. Maybe just the Highlanders had parchment seatbelts.

I had a guy tell me once that the seatbelts normaly matched the seat. I really don't know if he knew his arse from a hole in the ground but It does seem true in some cases.

Mine has the Parchment interior, white seats, white belts and originally came with Sandalwood (the light shade of brown as in the above photo) steering wheel and column.

Re: Interior Colors

My orange and white 72 Sierra Grande has parchment door panels and roof lining and the black and white houndstooth seat. Black seat belts. Oh, and a tilt.

Re: Interior Colors

I don`t think that would effect anything. From what I`ve seen here,A Cheyenne Super or any tilt equipped truck with parchment interior will have black belts.(if there is any consistancy at all)
The rest:parchment belts.

I have a 71 Cheyenne Super with parchment and it has black belts. The body colors are black/white and the interior is painted black. Maybe the paint color had something to do with it as, really, either black or parchment belts go with the parchment houndstooth.

You think they are faded ? I just threw them in the washing maching with oad and that's the way they turned out. The truck was a canadian truck parked under a tree the last 20 years I doubt they are faded ?
