Newest toy 86swb with pictures

Here some pictures of my latest toy. 1986 swb 305/4sd with ice cold air and very little rust.

My plans are a 300hp crate 350 (which I already have) th350 trans (hate shifting) a mild lowering and 20's all the way around. I will leave the rest of the truck stock. It should make a fun summer driver and if I ever get my stepside done I can start on this one.

That's a nice truck too bad it's a stickshift. But it will be a great driver I just passed up a really nice 86 shortbox 4x4 because it was a standard so my boss bought it so he doesn't have to mile out his 06 dually Duramax.

Re: Newest toy 86swb with pictures

My most recent purchase is an '87 swb with a manual. I like the idea of the manual for mileage. It has a 4.3 that has major issues but I have an '87 lwb with a 305 TBI that I hope will bolt in with relative ease.
Is your tranny the three speed with granny (compound) low, three speed with OD, or a true 4 speed? If it is the 3 with OD I might be interested in taking it off your hands?

Its a 3sp w/ granny.

Well my "new" truck stayed nice for a few days
I was in the middle of the hail storms in Missouri this weekend.
It got some damage on the roof and hood along with my 2006 tahoe and my 96' Z71. My 77' stepside was in the Garage. Glad I carry full coverage on them all.

Cool free paint job but you know there is a difference in "insurance paint" and custom customer paint.

Looks real clean.
Should be a nice buildup.

... but, I was hoping we would see some progress pics of the Stepside.
