Is an 80's tach repairable?
I bought an 80's cluster with all gages including the tach from a board member and went to hook up and the tach caused the engine to not start. I was told by Andy that the tach is bad. Can this tach be repaired or should I just look for another? I am sure the board member I bought it from did not know the tach was bad. Which is the best way to go? That is about my luck.

Re: Is an 80's tach repairable?
I recall that a board member had found a shop that could repair them. I can't remember the shop or the board member, though. That's a lot of help, huh?
You might find it by doing a search. Slonaker |

I haven't had any experience with them personally, but someone told me that these folks do excellent work.

Re: Is an 80's tach repairable?
Thanks guys. I will check both out and see which has the best price. I am just happy someone does work on these. I might have to see about getting my am/fm OE radio in my '70 burb worked on someday. The am stopped working but I only use the fm so no hurry. Again, thanks!!! You have to love this board!!
