Talking Just goofing around with bags.......

I think it was agreed upon that stock C-10's are 19" from center of wheel to top of fender opening? Right? FYI, my wheels are 18" with 255/45/18 tires.

Here's 18-1/4" (as high has I can go..... yikes! where's the mud!)......

17-1/8"

16-1/8"

14-7/8"

13-3/8".... now we're talkin'......

12-1/8"

10-7/8"

10-1/8" (a-arms sitting on the ground and fenders resting on tire!)

Yeah, yeah... I know...... I better get back to work

Hey slammed67, How much lift do you get off your bags? Looks like a good 6"s What bags are you runnin? See I was thinkin of also running bags but 1) Where would everything go? 2) I didn't think that it would give me that much lift at full pressure. Could you please take a pic of your whole truck aired up? I'd appreciate it. Thanks
Brandon

Brandon.... based on my measurements, I'm getting about 8-1/8" of suspension travel. I think it would lift even higher if I took out the rubber snubbers in the upper a-arms, but there is no reason to do that. The point is to get it low. Note that my highest position (18-1/4") is still a little lower than stock and I'll never really have it that high. I don't have the bed on the truck yet, so a full truck pic wouldn't do ya much good. I should have it back on by the end of the weeked and I'll post some pics then.

Well, I just wanted to see the frame and how high it was. I really don't understand how you got your rear suspension set up. But I just was wondering if it would be high enough to drive around in the sticks with big potholes without bottoming out.?!?!? But thanks for the info. How high is the front crossmember when the truck is aired all the way up? Thanks Again

It depends on what you mean by 'stick' and 'potholes.' If you're driving across the Appalachian mountains without the benefit of a road, that's probably bad. And if your potholes are big enough that you actually drive down in them, drive across the bottom for a while, then drive back up the other side... well, that's bad too. But I have essentially the same setup and mine is a semi-daily driver. I live in eastern MA, where, as I am told, the pothole was invented. I certainly don't TRY to hit them (wheels ain't cheap!) but it does happen, and I don't have any issues that any other vehicle would have.

For IE, just right-click and choose Save Picture As. For other browsers, I don't care... er, uh... I don't know

Then you can view it with your browser locally. Again, for IE, just drag the file icon and drop it onto the little "e" at the beginning of the address line and it will load. Or, you can type the file path in the address like (like c:\whatever\whatever\loopy.gif).

K....I did that the first time but when I open it, it opens it in photoeditor and it only shows the first pic. Maybe I should change the ending to mpeg or something?

jay-dawg, that's because the registered file type for GIF on your computer is set for that program. You can also do the following-- click ONCE on the file icon. Then hold down the right shift key and RIGHT-click the icon. When the context menu opens, you'll see a choice called "Open with." Click that and choose "Choose program." From there, scroll through the list until you find your browser. Click your browser and UNCHECK the "Always..." box (if you leave this checked, it will unregister your photo editor program and register your browser as the default for GIF files).

Dean23, the truck and photos belong to Slammed67. All I did was string his photos together into the animation.
