My 80 is FWD! Woo!
Haha, finally made some major progress -- I ran outta things to do with my GMC that didn't cost money, so I went to the parts house and picked up a bunch of stuff
Got myself new gear lube + silicone for the rear diff, lube for the transfercase, u-joints, and brake fluid. Got after my truck, and got the rear diff back together, got the t-case done, and got after my u-joints. For some reason I thought I had two good ones on my rear shaft already, but didn't, so I wasn't able to finish it off and get it bolted up, but I did get my front shaft on At least I'm not like all the other lifted posers who have no front shaft! I just have no rear shaft I'm officially done all my electrical less the stuff that goes to the back of the truck (fuel pump, fuel tank sending unit, and rear lights), so that means if I get my fuel pump wired up, and find a memcal, my truck is ready to fire! I hope it works this time I'm just itching to hear it roar to life on open headers, hopefully Thursday night (have to go to work tommorow, no time to work on the truck, less maybe the fuel pump line) If this kind of progress keeps up, I'll have her ready to start doing body work on just about the time that the weather will be warm enough for me to shoot my initial coat of epoxy primer before the tree fuzz flies Maybe have her ready to hit the road by June!

Re: My 80 is FWD! Woo!
Well, sorry, I forgot to get pics, but I did make more progress today
I went to bleed my brakes, but it winds up I must have broken off one of my rear bleeders, and not remembered, so yeah, now I gotta take the backing plate off so I can get the broken bleeder out, and get a new one in there. Fortunately, I hadn't put any fluid into the booster yet... Also got my hydroboost hooked up, less the return line, and painted a few more things on my underchassis, along with running the wire for my fuel pump. If I can find a memcal, or borrow one, the truck is ready to fire.
