Remove that Cab or Bed with ease!

Their was a post by Solver a few years ago showing a cab lift arm he used for removing his cab. It was a good design but I took it a few steps farther.

The other design only suported the cab at the two door rails and would allow the cab to slip off its balance piont. It would really suck to have that nice cab fall off its stand and end up needing more work than it started out with.

My re-design holds the cab in four locations (both door openings, the windshield pinch as well as the back window pinch) with or with out the glass in place. This stops the posibility of the cab slipping off the lift arm. It is adjustable for any standard cab and makes for easy one person lifting.

It can also be conveted (unbolt and re-configure) for lifting off your fleet side bed by your self as well. Then when you are all done it slides inside it self and tucks into a corner or sits up in the rafters out of the way. This is a great tool to have along with your Tip & Flip cab dolly!

Here are a few pic's for now and I will try and get the build plans ready in the next few weeks for the home builders. It will include material lists, cut lenghts and build pic's and directions. All you will need is some metal and an engine hoist.

Under the rails and then it has stabilizers the press against the floor for stability.

Do you think that building a jig in the form of an H would work well on a fleetside? That way, the lift will pick it up in the middle, and the two bars would go under the bed rails to lift it off...In about a month, I'm going to be moving a couple beds around and want to make it as pain-free as possible.

Yes this works great and has been done quit a bit. I just have limited room so the one I made will work for many things and will almost fold up into a stick to stand in the corner. I would also build a stand for the bed to set onto and roll around so as not to damage it. Good luck and if I can be of help just let me know!

It will work on any standard cab and maybe on extended cabs as well but it has not been tested for that.
